Originally developed for the XT M8100 mountain bike groupset, this chain is also fully compatible with Shimano Ultegra and other 12-speed Hyperglide+ road, gravel, and e-bike systems.

Built around Shimano’s Hyperglide+ (HG+) directional design, the CN-M8100 delivers fast, smooth shifts both up and down the cassette, even under heavy pedaling load. Shimano’s SIL-TEC surface treatment reduces friction and wear, helping extend chain life while maintaining consistent drivetrain efficiency in dry or wet riding conditions.

With 138 links, this version provides extra length for long-cage derailleurs, full-suspension mountain bikes, e-bikes, or frames with larger chainstay lengths. The chain can be cut down to fit your specific drivetrain. A Shimano Quick Link is included for quick, secure installation and easy removal for cleaning or maintenance.
