The RX8 uses a carbon-reinforced sole that delivers a high level of stiffness for effective power transfer while remaining more forgiving than Shimano’s top-tier RX9. A full rubber outsole with pronounced tread improves traction when walking on dirt, gravel, or uneven terrain, making the shoe suitable for hike-a-bike sections and frequent stops.
