Michelin Power Cup TS TLR Tire - Tubeless, Folding

This is our favorite high performance tubless ready road tire!

Why?

Price: While we very much care about performance, price is important, and it is nice to save ~$25 per tire compared to Continental, Pirelli, and Vittoria. With an MSRP of $88.99, the Michelin is the clear value leader.

Performance:

- Advertised weight is 285g (28mm) and is on par with all others, so there is no weight penalty.

- For a 28mm tire, the rolling resistance is 10.3w @ 72psi. This is 0.6w higher (per tire) than the Continental 5000S-TR. We are willing to give up 1.2 watts when we save $50 on a set of tires.

- Puncture resistance is 45 on the tread and 18 on the sidewall, which is better than the Continental 5000S-TR. We do NOT like standing on the side of the road fixing flat tires!

- Wet grip is also better than the Continental, and while we don't always ride in the rain, when we get caught in it, we want to know that we are on tires that will help us get to where we are going with confidence.
